The Caccia quintet was
formed in March 2003 and consists of Daniela Hawryliuk on flute, Dan Pope on oboe,
Dulcie Jones on Clarinet, Liz Versi on bassoon and Tom Fisher who plays the French horn.
The quintet first got together for a weekend of playing and coaching
with the internationally famous Galliard quintet, and found an instant rapport
with each other. They have played together ever since, performing
at weddings, parties and corporate events.
The players are all experienced musicians with a background in
orchestral and chamber music.
Caccia have a varied repertoire ranging from dances
and folk music to well known baroque and 20th Century. They also
work on more challenging pieces such as Mozart’s The Hunt,
Gounoud’s Petit Symphonie and most recently have added to
their repertoire Faure’s Dolly Suite and movements from Borodin’s
String Quartets that have been arranged for wind quintet.
Caccia meet and rehearse in Hathersage and play mainly in Sheffield
and the Peak District.
